Every spring, Live Oak runs the Crescent City Classic 10K as a proud charity partner of the Run For It program, raising funds for LOWA (Wilderness Adventures) scholarships. The 2027 race is Saturday, March 27, 2027. Charity runner sign-ups and cheer station details are coming soon.

What is Run For It?

The Crescent City Classic Run For It program began in 2012 and has grown into the largest one-day fundraiser in the Gulf South.

The Crescent City Classic and Crescent City Fitness Foundation have a goal to raise $1 million each year for local charities — and in 2026 Live Oak Camp was proud to be one of them for the second year.

All funds raised by our charity runners went directly toward LOWA (Wilderness Adventures) scholarships, giving New Orleans kids the chance to experience backpacking trips across the U.S. and Guatemala.

How Charity Running Worked in 2026

Discounted Registration

Runners paid $45 instead of $80 for race entry

Fundraising Minimum

Each runner committed to raising at least $200 for Live Oak

Entry Refunded

Runners who raised $300 got their $45 refunded (or donated it!)

The Live Oak Cheer Station on April 4th

Hosted by our Live Oak Leadership Seminar, the cheer station brought the Live Oak community together to cheer on our runners and compete for the Esplanade Entourage Award.
